Ryosuke Tanzawa is a Japanese-born independent filmmaker based in New York City. His work has appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Dazed, Popeye, and Bomb Magazine, and has screened at the 70th International Short Film Festival Oberhausen (2024) and the D.A. Pennebaker Tribute: City & Sound program at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival (2020).

He has collaborated with artists including Earl Sweatshirt, billy woods and Elucid (Armand Hammer), The Alchemist, Madlib, Makaya McCraven, Slauson Malone 1, MIKE, Navy Blue, Wiki, Sideshow, and Run the Jewels, among many others.

He has also directed commissioned films for Wales Bonner, adidas Originals, ASICS, and Saint Heron.
